A Rainbow Story at an International Celebration

On November 5, 2025, Joy House Collective had the honour of participating in Lalabala International Festival 2025 (Season 5), organised at Imperial World School. The festival welcomed performers and participants from various countries, creating a rich cultural atmosphere where art, stories, and performances crossed borders.

Amid this diverse and energetic setting, Joy House presented माछाको रंगीन सपना (Fish’s Rainbow Dream) — a story about identity, self-worth, and discovering the colours within.

About the Story

माछाको रंगीन सपना follows the journey of a black-and-white fish who dreams of becoming colourful like the others in the ocean. Along the way, the story gently unfolds themes of self-acceptance, comparison, individuality, and inner strength. Through interactive dialogue, music, and movement, the audience gradually realises that true colour does not always come from the outside — it often begins within.

Two Shows, One Sparkling Auditorium

Joy House performed two shows during the festival:

• One for 75 students of Classes 7 & 8
• Another for 100 students of Classes 1, 2 & 3

The auditorium sparkled with excitement, laughter, and active participation. Younger students responded with movement, sound, and spontaneous joy, while older students engaged thoughtfully with the story’s deeper message.

What made the experience even more special was the presence of international participants who joined in the performance, demonstrating how storytelling becomes a shared language beyond geography and culture.
