Performance for young monks of Shri Arya Asanga Buddhist Secondary School at Kopan Monastery, Kathmandu | March 26, 2025
About the Story
The Rainbow Fish meets the black & white fish from the Himalayas in a pond full of colors. They go on a journey to find colors for the black & white fish who travels in air, water, mountain and space. After an engaging experience of travelling, they discover that the colors they actually wanted were already within them. They exchange their colors, accept their differences and share a sensorial immersive experience with their audience.
About the Storytelling Session at Kopan Monastery
This storytelling performance got a chance to meet the very energetic young monks studying at Shri Arya Asanga Buddhist Secondary School in Kopan Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal. The students of KG and Class 1, participated in this program with enthusiasm and energy. Their empathy and engagement in helping the fish reach its destination was extremely heart warming. We received more joy from these young students and found ourselves immersed with their imagination.

After an interactive session of Storytelling, the students participated in an art workshop led by The Joy House team where they shared the colors of their imagination to the white fish who not only found colors but also got love and joy from the children.
