Conducted by Alexandra Bostan in Kathmandu | Dec 19, 2024
A sensorial workshop for children with intellectual disability in Nepal was organized by the Joy House Collective and was conducted by our good friend Alexandra Bostan from Italy on Dec 19, 2024 in Kathmandu.
Alexandra Bostan, an Italian voice over actress, an art performer and a sound healer, conducted a workshop on “Sensorial Experience Workshop with Music”. The children experienced variety of sensorial objects with smell, texture, size and shape while listening to the music. They expressed their creative thoughts and feeling through sketches they made while listening to the music and freely allowing their minds to pour onto a sketchbook. Alexandra led the children into a meditative experience while playing Handpan instrument and giving children a space be with themselves and feel calm.
Alexandra has been working as a facilitator in the Netherlands and Italy with the aim of spreading awareness of body and voice. Fun, immersive and yet, meditative experience for the children is what she is hoped to create. We are thankful to her for sharing Joy with children during her visit to Kathmandu.
The Joy House Collective is an initiative that develops stories into interactive, engaging and fun-filled performances that are performed by professional artists for children, often followed up by engaging workshops to create new experiences for the children.
