About the Workshop

Alexandra has been working as a facilitator in the Netherlands and Italy with the aim of spreading awareness of body and voice. Using her experience in performing arts and sound healing, Alexandra engaged the students of 5-9 years old of Kakshalaya Kindergarten School in Kathmandu through music and sound to take them on a journey of imagination. This workshop aimed to allow them to experience and discover how they can use their bodies creatively and be conscious of its abilities. Fun, immersive and yet, meditative experience for the children !

Evil Jackie meets Santa’s messenger

Close to the Christmas, the workshop ended with a little fun game between the Evil Jackie who steals the bag of gifts from the messenger of Santa who had come looking for the young kids to give them festive wishes. The children succeed in caging the Evil Jackie by working together as a team. Using their power of Love, they unlock Jackie’s heart and free her from the evil curse. Children celebrate and Jackie distributes the festive gifts of delicious chocolates brought by Santa’s messenger. Soft sound of a small Handpan instrument, the children are brought back from this dream.

Letter to Myself

The workshop ended with children peeking into their hearts to see how they felt during the workshop, where did their imaginations take them and what they discovered about themselves. They wrote a letter to themselves journaling their feelings, hoping to open that letter next year to remind them of today’s day spent by spreading Joy.
