Rainbow Fish visits Special Needs Children

The Rainbow Fish meets the white fish from the Himalayas in a pond full of colors. They exchange their colors, accept their differences and share a sensorial immersive experience with their audience. Designed specifically for children with special needs, this storytelling performance got a chance to meet the amazing bunch of children with intellectual disabilities at Resource and Family Counselling School for Intellectual Disabilities, Kathmandu

Storytelling is not just about the story. It is about giving new perspectives to see the world around us. With variety of hand-made paper puppets, sensorial objects and immersive experiences, we hope that the rainbow fish ignited the joy of stories amongst the children she has met.

We would like to thank:

  • Shom Bahadur Shrestha, Yashoda Bista, Sudhir Bhattarai, Jamuna Adhikari and all the teachers of ‘Resource and Family Counselling School for Intellectual Disabilities, Kathmandu’, who supported us in this program
