Performance on the occasion of a birthday celebration at The Giggle Garden, Kathmandu, Nepal | June 21, 2025
About the performance at The Giggle Garden
Alli and Salli, the Alligators, celebrated birthday of a 6 years old Sakshi, who along with her friends enjoyed an interactive storytelling session in this birthday event on on June 21, 2025 in Kathmandu. The children came along on this 45 minutes journey of imaginations with Alli and Salli. They all teamed up to help Alli, role played to solve his problem and danced on the tunes to share joy.
“It was really amazing. All the kids were engaged and enjoyed the story. It was a great opportunity for us to learn some art of storytelling as well. Thank you for your valuable time.” – Suniti Tripathi
About the Story
The story is about the two alligator characters, Alli and Salli who are going to school. On their way to school, Alli finds himself in a problem. They both try different ideas to fix the problem. Just like in a real world, when we often wear a mask to hide from our truths, Alli wears a mask behind which he hides his lie. While dancing and singing through the fun-filled session, suddenly Alli’s mask drops off. The teachers and the children find out Alli’s secret. They collectively help Alli to bring him out of his problem. Alli and Salli, now without hiding behind their masks, can enjoy the dance and the company of joyful children.

About the Art & Craft Activity
After an interactive session of Storytelling, the kids participated in an art workshop led by The Joy House team where they made their own versions of Alligators through paper puppets. The children took the story of Alli and Salli with them in their minds, hearts and through their own alligator puppets.
“Yes, it was really fun to watch. I will surely recommend to others. I enjoyed a lot with the children. Thank you so much to make our day special.” – Amit Dangol
